The decision to end the story with all main characters dying was a conscious one, made to reflect the brutal reality of such situations and the society’s deep-rooted issues. Saife Hassan shared that the realistic portrayal of such an event was essential for the story’s message to land effectively with the audience.

The director also revealed that Tan Man Neel o Neel could have looked very different if some initial casting plans had gone through. Sajal Aly was first approached to play the lead role but couldn’t participate due to her prior commitments. As a result, Sehar Khan was selected, bringing her energetic performance to the character. Saife Hassan also shared that the role of Nauman Masood’s character was initially offered to Faisal Rehman, but he declined due to the story’s dark theme. Additionally, Samiya Mumtaz replaced Nadia Jamil in a pivotal role after Nadia was unable to take on the part. Nadia Jamil, however, expressed her satisfaction with the show’s success and praised the final result.
